With infrastructure development, tourism marketing, and government assistance, Cavite City has tremendous potential as a first-class historical and maritime tourist destination in the Philippines.

It was a critical part of Philippine history, particularly during the Cavite Mutiny of 1872, when Filipino soldiers and workers in the naval shipyards could not drive out Spanish rule. Mutiny led to the hanging of key Filipino reformists, spurring nationalist movements that produced the Philippine Revolution.

The bay provides a backdrop of coastal scenery and serves as an entrance point to nearby historic sites like Fort San Felipe, Corregidor Island, and Sangley Point. It is also a favorite photography and viewing area, particularly during sunset. It is located along the coastline of Cavite CIty facing Manila Bay to the east.
