How to Establish a Business in Dasmariñas Cavite?

To establish a business in Dasmariñas Cavite, you should consider the following:

  1. Choose Your Business Structure: By selecting the right business structure, you can make sure that your company is in line with your objectives, risk tolerance, and management style.
    • Sole Proprietorship: Owned and run by a single person, such as freelancers and independent professionals. It comes with lower taxes and fewer regulations, making it a hassle-free option for small business owners.
    • Corporations and Partnerships: When a business has multiple owners, it falls under this category. While these structures allow for more growth potential, they also come with stricter regulations and higher taxes compared to sole proprietorships.
    • Domestic Corporation: Ideal for those looking to establish a large-scale business. This structure provides liability protection and makes it easier to attract investors, but it also involves more paperwork and legal requirements.
    • General Partnership: A great option for those who want to start a business but need additional capital and don’t want the complexity of a corporation. In this setup, two or more people share ownership, responsibilities, and profits.
  1. Choose the Right Location for Your Business: Picking the right place for your business is very crucial as it can affect your success; it's more than just having an address. Think about things like how easy it is for customers to get in touch with you, whether the site works well for your business, and whether the costs are reasonable. Don't forget to think about how competitive the area is, how many skilled workers are available, zoning rules, and possible development space.

  2. Register your Business Name:
    • Register your corporation or partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to establish its legal personality and secure compliance with Philippine laws.
    • Register your cooperative with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) to gain recognition and access to cooperative privileges and benefits.
    • Register your business name with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to protect your brand and make it official.
    • Register with the Board of Investments (BOI) to avail yourself of tax holidays, exemptions, and other benefits.
  1. Secure the following:
    • TIN: Obtain a Tax Identification Number from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to comply with tax requirements.
    • SSS Number: Register with the Social Security System (SSS) to comply with employee benefits requirements.
    • Philhealth Membership: Register your business and employees in Philhealth to provide mandatory healthcare coverage as covered in the government’s health insurance program.
    • ECC or CNC: For projects that may affect the environment, obtain an Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) or Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC) from the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR).
  1. Register for Business Permits: Once everything in the list is completed, register for business permits. Secure locational clearances and business permits from the municipal or city offices where the company operates to guarantee adherence to regional zoning laws and obtain a valid permit for your activities.

*Failure to register your business has corresponding penalties based on RMO No. 7-2015. For any inquiry or assistance in registering your business, feel free to contact corporate@diskurso.ph or message its Facebook Page.
