MANILA, Philippines — A junior high school teacher in Indang, Cavite was arrested for alleged sexual abuse of his students, following a police operation that uncovered dozens of indecent videos involving minors.

The Philippine National Police’s Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) served a search warrant at the teacher’s residence, where authorities seized electronic devices containing 32 videos showing the suspect with six male students.

According to investigators, the abuse reportedly took place at the teacher’s home after classes. Victims were allegedly paid between P100 and P300 per act. Police said the suspect, identified by the alias “Piolo,” also sent explicit photos and videos to the victims through email.

PNP-WCPC chief Brigadier General Maria Sheila Portento revealed that the case was discovered through online monitoring, in coordination with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Interpol Child Sexual Exploitation Database. The videos were traced back to the suspect, who allegedly sold some of the materials online.

Authorities confirmed that six victims, including three minors, have been rescued and are now undergoing psychosocial intervention and counseling. The teacher has been charged with violations of the Cybercrime Prevention Act, child sexual abuse, and exploitation of children.

The arrest highlights the growing concern over online child exploitation in the Philippines, where law enforcement agencies have intensified monitoring and international cooperation to track offenders. Officials stressed that community vigilance and reporting remain crucial in protecting children from abuse.

This case has sparked outrage among parents and educators in Cavite, with calls for stricter safeguards in schools to prevent similar incidents. The PNP vowed to continue its crackdown on child exploitation and ensure that perpetrators face accountability under the law.
