CALAMBA CITY — Calamba continues to shine on the global stage as its youth and professionals garner international recognition for their talent, intelligence, and hard work. Recent accolades highlight the city’s potential to produce achievers who make a mark far beyond local borders.

Among the honorees are Ms. Arabelle Dela Cruz, crowned Grand Champion of the Veiled Cup Korea 2026; Mr. Jhenroniel Sanchez, a topnotcher in the 2025 Bar Examinations; Mr. Zachary Keefe Qiel Realubit, winner of Mr. Teen International 2026 and Best in Talent in Vietnam; and Ms. Mary Godwin, recognized for Outstanding Achievement at the Youth Ambassador Performing Arts Festival 2025, also in Vietnam. These achievements span beauty pageants, legal excellence, and the performing arts, reflecting the diverse talents emerging from the city.

City officials lauded the achievers as examples of what determination and community support can achieve. “Galing, talino, at talento ang ipinamalas ng ating Calambeños—patunay na walang imposible sa mga nangangarap at nagsusumikap,” stated a local spokesperson.

Beyond celebrating individual accomplishments, the recognition prompts a deeper question: are communities providing enough resources, mentorship, and opportunities for youth to thrive in global competitions and professional arenas? While these success stories are inspiring, they also highlight the importance of systemic support in education, arts, and professional development.

As Calamba’s youth continue to excel, society is challenged to ask itself: how can local governments, schools, and families work together to ensure that talent isn’t just nurtured in isolated cases, but across entire communities?
