MANILA, Philippines — March 4, 2026 — Victory Liner announced that it will implement fuel-saving measures in response to the sudden surge in diesel prices, which have climbed by ₱15 per liter for the company’s supply.

The bus operator said that starting immediately, engines and air-conditioning units will only be switched on five minutes before the scheduled departure time of each trip. In addition, buses will temporarily shut down their engines and air-conditioning during stopovers to conserve fuel.

Victory Liner explained that these adjustments are necessary to keep operations sustainable amid rising fuel costs while continuing to deliver safe and reliable service to passengers.

In a public advisory, the company stated, “Lubos po kaming humihingi ng inyong pang-unawa at kaunting pasensya saaki ang aming pas panahong ito. Malasalamat sa inyong patuloy na pagtitiwala at suporta.”

The announcement comes as transport operators nationwide grapple with increasing fuel prices, which have placed pressure on operating expenses for passenger services.

Despite the changes, Victory Liner assured commuters that it remains committed to providing dependable travel across its routes, emphasizing that the measures are temporary and aimed at ensuring long-term stability.
