The August Twenty-One Movement (ATOM) held another initiative for its continuing call for accountability this morning (May 3, 2026) at the Ayala Avenue, Ninoy Statue.
ATOM leaders and members gathered in Ayala Avenue during the car-free Sundays this morning. The Walk Against Corruption started from Ayala Triangle Gardens at 7:30 am and culminated with a quick 40-minute program at the Ninoy Statue. The group walked along Ayala Avenue towards the Buendia Avenue area before doing a U-turn, going back to the Ninoy Statue, where they held the program.
The calls remain the same, as we continue to fervently support the call for the impeachment of the Vice-President. Volt Bohol (Atom Leader) said, "A long delayed 'forthwith' Senate trial should now proceed with the Justice Committee in Congress having established so far that there is enough evidence to proceed with the impeachment trial."
Impeach ang mga kurakot!
The Marcos Administration has so far failed in its accountability drive, notwithstanding the "mahiya naman kayo" drama by Mr. Marcos, Jr., when, during the SONA address last year, he practically stated this in front of the whole of Congress. The drive to jail all the masterminds behind the flood control corruption last year has been a failure. It's either this or the administration is just too afraid to ruffle the feathers of their suspects, who are powerful individuals in government.
So far, the Ombudsman has declared that Speaker Romualdez will be charged this month of May, together with Senator Chiz Escudero, but until this has actually happened, we cannot trust their words anymore, considering the failed promises last year to jail the corrupt before Christmas. Almost six months after Christmas, no big fish have been jailed.
Ikulong ang mga Kurakot!
ATOM was joined by ATOM President Volt Bohol, together with the rest of the ATOM members, Kalye Serye and Siklista Pilipino. ATOM yellow flags were again on display throughout the activity.
The program opened with a morning prayer and ended with the singing of Bayan Ko and the National Anthem after speeches were delivered by Atom leaders. "Mahiya naman kayo! Kuyrenteng-kuryente na ang taumbayan sa mga pangako ninyo bago pa magpasko." Volt Bohol, Atom President, added in a statement.
IMPEACH MGA CORRUPT!
IKULONG MGA CORRUPT!
