FEBRUARY 16, 2026 — Jollibee is at it again — this time, not with Chickenjoy or halo-halo, but with coffee. Yes, the homegrown fast-food giant is bringing South Korea’s Compose Coffee to the Philippines this 2026, through its subsidiary Fresh N’ Famous Foods Inc. And if you think this is just another café opening, think again. This is Jollibee flexing its muscle in a market that Filipinos are increasingly obsessed with: coffee culture.
“We are extremely excited to introduce Compose Coffee to the Philippines this 2026, aligned with its mission of making high-quality coffee more accessible to consumers,” said Jollibee Group Philippines CEO Joseph Tanbuntiong.
Expect coffee that’s not only good, but priced to compete with your daily 7-Eleven fix.
Jollibee already owns a 70% stake in Compose Coffee, which has exploded across South Korea with 3,000 stores as of September 2025. That’s 1,000 new shops in just 18 months. Imagine that kind of aggressive expansion landing here, where coffee chains are already battling for every corner and every mall slot.
Richard Shin, Jollibee’s chief financial and risk officer, framed it this way: “Compose Coffee’s entry into the Philippines reflects the Jollibee Group’s commitment to scaling brands with strong global potential.”
He added that the brand’s disciplined operating model and focus on quality make it a repeatable formula for growth. So Jollibee isn’t just dipping its toes — it’s betting big that Filipinos will embrace Compose Coffee the way they embraced Chickenjoy.
And let’s not forget the numbers. JFC just posted a record-breaking ₱122.3 billion in systemwide sales for the fourth quarter of 2025, up 12%. Locally, Mang Inasal surged 20.5%, Jollibee itself rose 9.8%, and Chowking climbed 5.4%. Internationally, Compose Coffee already delivered a 24.2% boost.
Clearly, coffee is not just a side hustle but becoming a pillar of Jollibee’s empire.
So what does this mean for us, the everyday Pinoy? More choices, more competition, and hopefully, better prices. Coffee has become part of our daily rhythm, whether it’s a quick 3-in-1 sachet at home or a fancy latte at a café. Jollibee stepping into this arena means the battle for your morning cup is about to get fiercer — and that’s good news for consumers.
The real question now is, when Compose Coffee finally brews its first cup in the Philippines, will you be lining up to taste it?
