LOS ANGELES, California — February 13, 2026. A brand-new “John Wick” video game starring Keanu Reeves is officially headed to PlayStation, marking the franchise’s most ambitious entry into the gaming world to date. The announcement was made during Sony’s State of Play showcase, where a two-minute trailer revealed Reeves reprising his role as the legendary assassin in a gritty, action-packed adventure.

The untitled AAA game is being developed by Saber Interactive in collaboration with Lionsgate and franchise director Chad Stahelski. PlayStation confirmed that Reeves will lend both his voice and likeness to the project, ensuring authenticity for fans of the films.

“Saber’s design will be faithful to the unique style and signature elements of the series, including a distinct gun fu combat system, jaw-dropping camerawork, immersive driving experiences, and a variety of memorable environments, all crafted to make players feel like they are in a John Wick movie, playing the role of John Wick himself,” PlayStation said in its official statement.

The game will feature an original script set within the timeline of the films, expanding the lore and introducing new characters. According to Saber Interactive, players will experience missions that take place years before the events of the first movie, offering fresh insights into Wick’s backstory.

This marks the third video game adaptation of the franchise. Previous titles included John Wick Chronicles, a VR shooter, and John Wick Hex, a strategy game. Both have since been delisted from digital storefronts, making this new release a significant return for the series in the gaming space.

The upcoming title will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, though no release date has been confirmed. Fans can expect a single-player, third-person action experience designed for mature audiences, with gameplay that mirrors the intense, stylized combat of the films.

With Keanu Reeves at the helm and the creative team behind the movies deeply involved, anticipation is high. The John Wick franchise has already proven its global appeal through four blockbuster films, and this new game promises to deliver the same adrenaline-fueled action in an interactive format.
