LUCBAN, Quezon — Governor Helen Tan met with officials of Southern Luzon State University (SLSU)–Lucban on March 25, 2026, to discuss the potential expansion of medical courses at the campus, signaling a push to enhance healthcare education accessibility in the province.

Among the programs under consideration are Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy, aimed at providing more opportunities for Quezon-based students interested in health-related fields. By offering these specialized courses locally, students would no longer need to travel to other provinces to pursue their desired programs, making professional healthcare education more attainable.

The provincial government emphasized that this initiative forms part of its ongoing collaboration with SLSU to strengthen the quality of education and broaden opportunities for young Quezon residents.
