FEBRUARY 2, 2026 — Kampay, mga kababayan! San Miguel Beer once again reminded us why they’re the undisputed kings of the PBA Philippine Cup, crushing TNT in Game 6 with a commanding 92-77 win. No need for a do-or-die — SMB closed the door, locked it, and threw away the key.

The night belonged to June Mar Fajardo, who delivered a jaw-dropping 29 points and 23 rebounds in front of 14,201 fans at the MOA Arena. And with his mentor, Ramon Fernandez, watching from the stands, the moment felt almost scripted by destiny. Fajardo not only powered the Beermen to their 12th Philippine Cup crown — eighth in the last 11 seasons — but also bagged his fifth Finals MVP, now named after Fernandez himself.

“Isang karangalan na makuha ng championship tapos finals MVP at si Don Ramon pa nag-abot ng award tapos sa kanya pa ito nakapangalan. For sure, nasa taas ito ng trophy case ko,” said Fajardo.

(It’s an honor to win the championship and the Finals MVP, especially since Don Ramon himself handed me the award and it’s named after him. For sure, this will be at the top of my trophy case.)

What makes this win more electrifying is how SMB weathered TNT’s late surge. Down 68-66 in the third, the Beermen unleashed a 23-5 run that silenced the Tropang 5G and sealed the crown.

Now that’s not just basketball — that’s dominance.

But how long can this dynasty last? With 31 overall titles, San Miguel has built a legacy that feels untouchable. But dynasties don’t just inspire — they also challenge. Will other teams rise to break the Beermen’s stranglehold, or are we witnessing an era that will stretch far beyond this generation?

For fans, this isn’t just about another trophy. It’s about pride, tradition, and the thrill of seeing a team that refuses to let go of greatness. And let’s be honest — doesn’t it feel good to root for a dynasty that keeps proving why it’s called one?

Greatness isn’t just won — it’s defended, and San Miguel just showed us how.
