KUWAIT — The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed Monday that three U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defense systems during ongoing defensive operations in the region.

According to CENTCOM, the aircraft were responding to and defending against attacks involving Iranian aircraft, missiles, and drones when the incident occurred. All six aircrew members aboard the three jets successfully ejected, were safely recovered, and are reported to be in stable condition.
