AUGUST 3, 2025 — Mawawala na ang pasanin sa pagbabayad ng hospital bills para sa mga pasyenteng maa-admit sa mga pampublikong ospital sa buong bansa, ayon sa Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). Sa ilalim ng No Balance Billing (NBB) policy, sasagutin ng gobyerno ang lahat ng gastusin basta’t ang pasyente ay maa-admit sa basic ward accommodation.

Ayon sa PhilHealth, hindi na kailangan ng karagdagang dokumentasyon o interview para makuha ang benepisyo. 

“Walang anumang interview na kinakailangan dahil lahat ng Pilipino ay miyembro ng PhilHealth alinsunod sa Universal Health Care Law. Bilang miyembro, lahat ng Pilipino — may kakayanan man o wala na magbayad ng kontribusyon — ay garantisado sa No Balance Billing kung sila ay maa-admit sa basic o ward accommodation,” giit ng ahensya.

Walang babayaran ang pasyente mula sa check-in hanggang discharge, kasama ang gamot, laboratory tests, at operasyon. Layon ng polisiya na gawing abot-kamay ang dekalidad na healthcare para sa lahat.
