CEBU CITY — Sa isang resolusyon na may petsang Nobyembre 11, 2025, idiniskwalipika ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) First Division si dating Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama sa kanyang paglahok sa May 2025 elections bilang kandidato sa pagka-alkalde.
Kinumpirma ni Jundel Bontuyan, dating manager ng Cebu City Sports Center at petisyuner sa kaso, na natanggap niya ngayong Nobyembre 12, 2025 ang kopya ng desisyon mula sa COMELEC.
Matatandaang isinampa ni Bontuyan ang petisyon noong Oktubre 18, 2024, na humihiling sa diskwalipikasyon ni Rama.
Hindi pa inilalabas ng COMELEC ang buong detalye ng resolusyon, ngunit inaasahang maghahain ng motion for reconsideration ang kampo ni Rama sa mga susunod na araw. (Larawan: Michael Rama / Facebook)
