A post by several pages on Facebook has circulated recently which allegedly says that a certain Colonel Audie Mongao of PMA Batch 92’ and current Director of the Training Development Center under AFP Training Command (TRACOM) has withdrawn his support from the Marcos administration.

While the posts are still unverified, Major General Mike Logico has issued a statement on his facebook account stating that “Col Mongao is presently assigned with Training Command, Philippine Army and is currently on New Year's Break status. My Command has exerted all efforts to reach out to him but has so far been unsuccessful. Effective last night, I have relieved him from his post as Commander Training Support Group and is now placed attached/unassigned Office of the Commander Training Command.” 

Is a coup d'état currently brewing or is this a case of a trial balloon?
