JANUARY 28, 2026 — Filipinos, brace yourselves — Serg’s Chocolate is finally returning to our shelves this year. The brand that defined childhood for so many generations has officially declared 2026 as its “restart year,” and the excitement is already building.

For those who grew up in the 60s and 70s, Serg’s was the chocolate bar of choice. Millennials, too, remember the thrill of buying Moonbits, Egg Chocolate, or Football Chocolate from the nearest sari-sari store in the late 90s and early 2000s.

It wasn’t just candy — it was part of our everyday lives, a sweet companion to recess breaks, birthdays, and simple joys.

After years of setbacks — including the pandemic in 2019 and Supertyphoon Carina in 2024 that damaged their warehouse — Serg’s is finally ready to bounce back.

“We’re starting small — Serg’s Chocolate Bars — back where it all began in 1954 on Cordillera St., Quezon City,” the company announced on Facebook.

They also asked fans to share stories and memories with the younger generation, keeping the tradition alive.

Imagine the joy of handing your child a Serg’s bar and saying, “This was my favorite chocolate when I was your age. Try it!”

That’s the kind of nostalgia no imported brand can replicate. In a market crowded with big brands like Hershey’s and Nestlé, Serg’s has something unique: it’s ours. It’s Filipino. And it’s coming back stronger than ever.

The comeback isn’t just about reviving a product — it’s about reliving memories, reconnecting with our past, and passing on a piece of Filipino sweetness to the next generation.

Serg’s Chocolate reminds us that some childhood flavors are too sweet to stay gone forever. Ready to share the taste of your childhood with the next generation? Which memory will come rushing back the moment you unwrap a Serg’s bar again? And when it hits the shelves, who will you surprise with that first nostalgic bar?
