CALOOCAN CITY — A woman was killed by her live-in partner on Christmas Eve in Barangay 31, Caloocan, after a heated argument turned violent, according to police reports.

Based on CCTV footage obtained by authorities, the victim was seen quarreling with the suspect before he strangled her. Moments later, the suspect appeared to pull something from his pocket, and the victim’s scream was heard. She was then dragged between two parked vehicles, where she was fatally attacked.

Relatives later discovered her body on the roadside, covered in blood. Police confirmed that the victim sustained three stab wounds to the chest, a laceration on her leg, and her throat was slit.

According to the victim’s mother, her daughter and the suspect had gone to their house in Caloocan to celebrate Christmas. The victim’s sister added that the couple often argued, with the suspect allegedly saying he was “tired” of the victim always following him.

Authorities are now pursuing the suspect, who fled the scene after the attack. The Caloocan police said they are using the CCTV footage as key evidence in their investigation.

The incident has sparked outrage among residents and renewed calls for stronger measures against domestic violence, especially during the holiday season when family disputes often escalate.
