MAKATI CITY, Philippines — A TikTok post by user xoxo.farfalla has gone viral after she recounted a disturbing experience of harassment while filming a video with her best friend. What began as a seemingly friendly interaction with two Russian men quickly escalated into an alarming situation that has sparked conversations about online safety and harassment awareness.

According to her post, the two men approached and asked to join their TikTok recording. Out of respect, she and her friend agreed. The men suggested doing an “easy TikTok” dance, with one of them teaching the steps in Russian behind the camera. Initially, the atmosphere appeared lighthearted, and the dance seemed harmless. However, at the end of the routine, one of the men allegedly attempted to kiss her without consent.

“I thought it was just a friendly TikTok because the steps seemed so cute, but at the end of the steps… he tried to kiss me. Luckily I have a very strong self-defense and I shouted a help to my friend that’s why he stopped,” she wrote.

The victim expressed disappointment that despite her cries for help, fellow Filipinos nearby did not intervene and instead laughed at the incident. This lack of support, she said, left her feeling nervous and vulnerable.

Her post has since gained traction, with many netizens condemning the men’s actions and calling for greater awareness of harassment in both online and offline spaces.
