Las Piñas City, Philippines — A violent confrontation erupted at the BF Resort Village Homeowners Association Inc. (BFRVHAI) clubhouse on Wednesday, March 4, leaving one security guard dead and at least 10 others injured during a court-ordered takeover of the facility.

The incident unfolded when more than 30 sheriffs arrived to enforce a writ of execution directing the turnover of the clubhouse and security office to a newly recognized homeowners’ group. Witnesses said tensions escalated as authorities forcibly entered the premises after occupants allegedly refused to vacate, resulting in broken glass doors and scattered furniture inside the building.

BFRVHAI President Euan Rex Toralballa confirmed that a 47-year-old female security guard collapsed and later died amid the chaos. “Hindi na umabot ng buhay sa pagamutan ang 47-anyos na biktima,” Toralballa told reporters, adding that he himself sustained minor injuries during the commotion.

Sheriff Niño John San Felipe, who led the enforcement team, maintained that authorities were simply carrying out the court order recognizing the new homeowners association. “Authorities were merely implementing the order recognizing the new homeowners association,” he said, stressing that the takeover was legally mandated.

The clash highlights a deep leadership dispute within the community, with rival factions contesting control of the homeowners’ association. The incident has sparked outrage among residents and raised concerns about the safety of enforcing judicial orders in highly charged local disputes.

Authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and injuries, while residents await clarity on the future governance of BF Resort Village.
